The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is here, and new players to the game may be wondering how they can sell their bugs. In the game, bugs are the little things you often see either flying or crawling around everywhere. You can only collect them once you’ve purchased a bug net from Beedle, at which point you just need to swing it around to grab some. The primary use of bugs is upgrading potions to make them stronger, this isn’t exactly the most useful or worthwhile thing to do though. In most cases, you’ll be giving up a rather large number of rupees and resources for a potion you’ll use once or twice then be done with. This means that selling bugs is a lot less risky than selling treasures.

How to Sell Bugs

The first thing to keep in mind is that there is only one character in the game who will be willing to buy your bugs from you, and there are also some strings attached. The person who’s willing to let you sell your bugs to him is actually Stritch, the guy who always follows Groose around. Despite this fact about him, he’s actually rather nice and will be more than willing to buy your bugs for a reasonable price. However, you can only sell to him at night as he claims to have a reputation to uphold. You’ll be able to find him in his room on the first floor of the Knight’s Academy.

Once you show up, he’ll offer you his services and from then on you have a vendor for all of your bug-related needs. There is a catch though, and it’s that he’ll only ever be willing to purchase three different kinds of bugs on any given night. You can reset his selection though by just sleeping in the nearby bed until the next night. It’s a tedious process but it’s what works.
