CBS’s hit show Survivor 44 is back which premiered on 1 March 2023. They began filming in Fiji immediately after the 43rd cycle wrapped production last summer. The series, featuring host Jeff Probst, is complying with strict Covid-19 safety regulations, just like it did in Seasons 41–43.
Speaking to Parade.com, she shared why she joined the show. She had three reasons: win the million dollars, have an adventure of a lifetime, and build lifelong relationships with all of her friends.
Jaime has been a long-time Survivor fan. She said, “Back in the day before DVR, before Paramount+, we had to record it on VHS if we had like a school recital. So we still have VHS tapes that say ‘Survivor: Do Not Record Over.’ ” During the time of the pandemic, she and her brother watched the show all over again.
As for past contestants who she identified the most, she said, Maryanne (winner) because she loved how Maryanne played the game. And the non-winner contestant was Shan because she was super strategic, “very bold and brilliant in all of her moves.”

Jaime also shared with Parade that her fellow contestants will perceive her as “bubbly, outgoing, and energetic.” She added, “I have to distract them with my bubbly energy so that they don’t know what I’m really strategizing.” Furthermore, the best advice that she received before joining the show was never to give up.
